This new feature is called “Sender Subpower” and it is a feature that will work at the will of the sending and receiving user.
According to media reports, this means that you won’t be able to save the message unless the user who sent the disappearing message opts out.
In a blog post from MetaCompany, the new feature will give the sender of a message veto power when the recipient tries to save the message.
